We know Benjamin Franklin as one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Now we get to see what he may have been like as a boy. Gen-Z Media has created a podcast called Young Ben Franklin. Listeners are introduced to 14-year-old Ben as he and his friends find a letter written in invisible ink, which leads them on a treasure hunt through colonial Boston.
CHRIS RICHARDS (above) is the voice behind young Ben. “He is a printer’s apprentice, but he really has high hopes,” Chris, 15, told TFK Kid Reporter Tiana Sirmans. “It was a fun challenge” imagining what Ben would do and say as a kid, he added. Each episode is filled with fun and adventure. “Ben is a role model and a big dreamer,” Chris says. “He does get into trouble, but he has a really good heart.”
