What is Your Hot Job?
Produced by the editors of TIME for Kids, Your Hot Job is a free digital platform that introduces kids ages 8 to 14 to the ever-expanding world of careers. Using videos, articles, a research-backed skills assessment, and more, the platform invites kids to consider the many paths to a future of meaningful work. Our most critical mission is to show all students that there’s no single route to success, and that anything is possible.
Who uses Your Hot Job?
The platform is designed for kids ages 8 to 14, as well as their parents/caregivers and educators.
Is Your Hot Job really free?
Yes! Your Hot Job is free for all, thanks to funding provided by the PwC Charitable Foundation.
I'd like to start using Your Hot Job in my classroom. Where should I start?
We suggest users begin their Your Hot Job journey by completing the Skills Explorer. It’s a research-backed, 36-question quiz that helps kids explore their talents and interests. Once a student completes the Skills Explorer, the content they see on the site will be tailored to their unique results. Our Career Exploration Unit of Study is a great resource to help teachers get an overview of the platform, read about how we align to standards and where to begin.
Is Your Hot Job standards-aligned?
Yes. Our materials align to Common Core, CASEL, and 21st Century standards. In addition, we align all plans with the greater 16 clusters included in the Common Career Technical Core standards. Learn more by downloading our one pagers on our In Schools Resources page.
Where does the data on the "career cards" come from?
This data was sourced from the Occupational Outlook Handbook website, produced by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Median pay levels are accurate to data for 2021. Job-growth percentages reflect the predicted change from 2020 to 2030.

Is Single Sign-On available for Your Hot Job?
Yes! You can log in to Your Hot Job using Clever. In order to do so, you must first ensure that your school or district has enabled data syncing. If you log in using Clever, you can use our Clever integration to sync classroom roster data and view student insights on our dashboard. Learn more here.

Does Your Hot Job offer a way for students to sign in without an email address? (e.g. Single Sign-On / SSO)
Yes. Your Hot Job is thrilled to offer enhanced support through Clever District Sync. With this feature, district administrators can seamlessly sync all Clever teachers and their student classes with Your Hot Job, enabling easy access for everyone.
My school uses Clever, how do I get access to Your Hot Job?
Clever streamlines the process for your district's IT team by providing applications with the accurate information needed to quickly and correctly set up student access, simplifying technology use in the classroom.
With the Your Hot Job integration, teachers no longer need to manually add students one by one or have them manually create their own individual student account. By syncing with Clever, student rosters are automatically imported into Your Hot Job in just a few clicks. Both teachers and students can log in effortlessly using their Clever credentials.
To get started, follow these steps:
Log in to Clever as a district administrator by clicking here.
Click on "Add Applications" from the sidebar of your Clever dashboard.
Search for Your Hot Job and click "Request App". Please note: The Clever integration does not link existing accounts. Teachers using Clever to log in will have the ability to view insights on our teacher dashboard based on the sections defined within the data passed over from Clever Secure Sync.
How can my school or district admins set up admin accounts with Your Hot Job via Clever?
Currently, Your Hot Job does not support admin-level accounts or integrations with any sign-on service for admins. We recommend that admins create teacher accounts to gain full permissions for viewing student progress.
My school uses Clever, how do I get access to Your Hot Job via our portal?
Once your school or district IT administrator approves data sharing consent with Your Hot Job, the app will be available in your Clever Teacher Dashboard. You can launch the app by simply clicking the Your Hot Job icon.
What if a student forgets their Clever login credentials?
Your Hot Job does not have the ability to reset Clever account information. This will need to be managed through Clever.
